For one of my funnels, I use Systeme.io. I like the Systeme platform for running funnels, but I don't understand why you can't see a breakdown by UTM parameter. (There are quirks with every platform.)
I want to track exactly what the source of my leads is, whether that is Reddit, YouTube, or other channels.
I recently exported all the contacts from this particular funnel and asked Claude to analyze where the traffic came from based on the last 90 days.
This is one of the great things about AI for marketers: it shows you exactly where the breakdown is. I will include a picture of that analysis in this post.

Pretty cool. I don't even have to open the csv or import it into Google Sheets. Nothing.
The point is that there is an incredible amount of traffic I don't have UTM codes for, and as a marketer, it is becoming more important to understand those sources.
AI saves time, and as creation time goes down, high-level strategy becomes more critical.
AI can break down where they came from, and you can ask for specific views (e.g., the last 30 days, 60 days, or all time). It provides a macro view that is really valuable.
Here are a few key takeaways:
- Use UTM codes whenever possible
Sometimes you can’t, but I actually have a free UTM builder you can use. I will put a link to it in this post. Many people think UTM builders are complicated—involving ad creative, pixels, and specific site placements—but they are actually very useful for simple source attribution. If you are doing free organic marketing, it records exactly where people are clicking from. - Build a habit of tracking
I need to do this more often myself. I should put a bookmark in my browser to ensure I take that extra step of tracking every link I post. When you track your links, it gives you deep insight into where you should be focusing your energy.
For example, when I asked Claude to go deeper, it highlighted one particular UTM parameter from the SideHustleGold subreddit. It showed I had a 31 leads (3.9%) from that specific source.
Not marketing on Reddit? Here's how to market on Reddit without getting banned.
That was very instructive because it highlighted which post was working. This suggests I could re-comment on that post to help revive it, since it is still providing active traffic even 90 days later.
More importantly, I can now model more content based on that success because I used a UTM parameter. Otherwise, I would have no idea what was working.
If you aren't using UTM parameters yet, particularly for free marketing, I find them incredibly helpful for:
- YouTube: Tracking which specific channel or video description is driving opt-ins.
- Reddit: Tracking which subreddit or even which specific post is performing.
While you can get very granular, the most important thing is to track the source (YouTube, Reddit, Facebook). The second level is tracking the specific area, such as the specific Facebook group or subreddit. You don't necessarily need to track every individual post, but knowing the area of that particular channel is very helpful.
I will put a link to the UTM builder below. Let me know if this is helpful! It is definitely another great way to use Claude.
